The Challenge
This patient came to us seeking a smile enhancement. She was unhappy with the small size of her teeth and felt her smile looked too “gummy.”
The Solution
After a full set of X-rays, photos, medical and dental history, and a clinical exam, we created a digital mock-up to design her ideal smile.
We proposed gum recontouring surgery to improve the architecture of her smile, followed by porcelain veneers for a balanced, natural look.
First Visit
Using a guided matrix, we reshaped the gum line and adjusted the underlying bone to create proper symmetry and reduce excess gum display.
The patient went home for 12 weeks to allow the gum tissue to stabilize before moving forward with veneers.
Our use of advanced lasers for gum recontouring means faster healing, less swelling, and immediate results compared to traditional scalpel methods
Second Visit
After healing, we prepared her teeth minimally and took final impressions for 10 upper veneers.
We provided temporaries based on her mock-up so she could test both aesthetics and function.
Once approved, our lab crafted the final porcelain veneers. A few days later, we bonded them, fine-tuned her bite, and completed final X-rays and photos.
Now, the patient enjoys a stunning new smile with perfect proportions and harmony.
