All-on-6 Case Study: Eliminating Sensitivity and Shifting Teeth

The Challenge

This patient presented to our office with extreme tooth sensitivity, mobility, and noticeable tooth shifting. His main goals were to eliminate the sensitivity and achieve a healthier, more attractive smile.

The Solution

A CT scan, clinical examination, full medical and dental history, and a complete set of photographs revealed severe periodontal disease.

His teeth no longer had sufficient bone support, but fortunately, there was enough bone structure to support dental implants. We recommended extracting all teeth and placing six implants per arch to prepare for a full-arch zirconia All-on-6 restoration.

First Visit

During surgery, all remaining teeth were extracted, the bone was cleaned and leveled, and six implants were placed per arch. Immediate temporary dentures were provided for use during the six-month healing period.

Second Visit

After six months, follow-up X-rays confirmed successful implant integration. A minor connection surgery was performed to expose the implants, and final digital impressions were taken.

We then tested a plastic prototype of the prosthesis to verify function and aesthetics. Minor bite adjustments were made, and a second prototype was tested the following day.

Once approved, the lab began fabricating the final zirconia All-on-6 prostheses.

Final Result

Within a few days, the definitive prostheses were delivered and adjusted for immediate function. At a follow-up visit two days later, we confirmed the bite, took final X-rays, and captured aesthetic photos.

The patient is now free of sensitivity, enjoying a stable bite and a beautiful new smile that has fully restored his confidence.
